9 फरवरी 2012 को किरण नेगी गैंगरेप मामले में आरोपियों को दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट 2014 में फांसी की सजा सुना चुका है लेकिन मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट में आज तक लटका हुआ है. किरण के साथ जो बर्बता की गई वो लिखने में भी हाथ कांपते हैं आंखों में तेजाब डाल दिया गया, उसके नाजुक अंगों में शराब की बोलत मिली थी. पाना गरम करके उसके शरीर को दाग दिए गए थे. इस मामले को लेकर परिवार का कहना है, यह केस मीडिया की सुर्खियां नहीं बनी इसलिए आज तक इंसाफ नहीं हुआ है, इस देश का कानून गरीब लोगों की नहीं सुनता है अगर किरण किसी रसूखदार की बेटी होती तो आज तक इंसाफ मिल चुका होता. परिवार को न्याय की उम्मीद तो है लेकिन कब होगा इसका कोई पता नहीं.
